Who we need:The SNAP (Stop Now and Plan) Supervisor provides leadership and supervision of the SNAP program in Pinellas and Manatee County. SNAP, which stands for Stop Now And Plan, is an evidence-based group program to teach children struggling with behavior issues, and their parents, effective emotional regulation, self-control and problem-solving skills.The SNAP Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the program according to internal policies and funder requirements. This position must maintain a wide range of working relationships internally and externally, advocate for client-driven and responsive services, and provide consistent leadership for the team. The individual holding this position ensures quality services to clients through the supervision and training of staff.What you get:Salary: $38,000 - $42,000Hours: 40 hours - Flexible Monday-Thursday (10:30am-6:30pm / 12:00pm-8:00pm) + Friday (8am-5pm) with 1 to 2 Saturdays as neededBenefits offered to those who meet eligibility requirementsPrimary Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Accepts and works within the framework of the agency's stated vision, mission, values and goals.
  • Is a member of the agency's management and ensures compliance with the personnel practices in the SNAP Program and the agency.
  • Is responsible for the day-to-day operation and implementation of the SNAP program.
  • Recruits, hires, and evaluates staff and volunteers in the SNAP program.
  • Provide supervision and coaching to staff to ensure group facilitation adheres to curriculum and fidelity standards.
  • Oversees all client files and ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and comprehensive.
  • Conduct evening groups to children or their parents, as needed.
  • Works with the supervisor and President/CEO in the financial planning and budgeting of the SNAP program; is authorized to make expenditures according to the approved budget.
  • Develops and ensures the implementation of an annual SNAP work plan; participates in long term planning.
  • Coordination with supervisor for addressing and implementing appropriate employee disciplinary actions.
  • Liaises with relevant community agencies and maintains ongoing contact with local law enforcement, schools, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensures staff training activities which are consistent with the agency's philosophy, policies and procedures.
  • Submits monthly and quarterly statistics as required; monitors professional quality and maintenance of record keeping consistent with regulations and agency policies.
  • Collaborates in the development and implementation of quality assurance measures and research studies.
  • Is accountable to and supervised by the Vice President, Community Services.
  • The Supervisor must attend a 5- day core SNAP training.
  • Ensures funder and agency requirements are met regarding program services and documentation.
  • Oversees and ensures monthly billing is accurate and consistent.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Typical Schedule:
      • Monday-Thursday: 10:30am-6:30pm (however on group nights may work until 8pm)
      • Friday: normal business hours
      • These hours may fluctuate based on program needQualifications Required:
        • A Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field is desired, but a minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
        • A minimum of three years' experience working with youth and their families in group settings is desired.
        • A minimum of three years' supervisory experience in interviewing, hiring, evaluating and disciplining staff is desired.
        • Familiarity with cognitive behavior modification; structured groups and parent education groups.
        • Ability to lead in a team environment to provide quality services to the community.
        • Previous research and community/agency liaison experience is desired.
        • Ability to communicate in clear, effective manner both orally and verbally.
        • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with community partners, funding sources as well as staff and co-workers.
        • Ability to work independently with sound judgment and handle sensitive information with discretion.
        • Ability to work evening hours and travel across counties to supervise and evaluate group sessions.
        • Attends regular management meetings.
        • Computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office programs and Dropbox.
        • The possession of a personal cellular phone is required for use in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
        • Perform all administrative and record keeping tasks associated with the SNAP program within designated time frames.
        • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
        • Must demonstrate awareness and acceptance of cultural differences of clients, staff and community contacts.
        • Background compliant with requirements of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
        • Valid Florida driver's license, clear driving record and current automobile insurance.
          Physical Requirements:

          • Ability to stand for long periods of time
          • Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds
          • Frequent bending, reaching and walking
          • Ability to respond quickly to conflict/unsafe/dangerous situations
          • Speak clearly so listeners can understand
          • Understand speech of another person
          • Ability to hear and see children and objects that are less than and more than a few feet away
