Job Description:

The Trade Finance Process controls Lead is an intermediate level role responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time in coordination with the Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to work work with the Trade Finance Manager and with Trade Ops Head to manage the daily operations for a larger Cash and Trade Operations unit, consisting of multiple teams performing related tasks.Responsibilities:

  • Lead portfolio of critical projects, regulatory, de-risk, client experience and efficiencies
  • Lead the review of key unit controls, and develop a framework to monitor and ensure all key controls are proactively monitored and escalated according to escalation protocols
  • Lead Units capacity reviews to ensure Capacity is correctly aligned and maintained.
  • Review and validate Service Level Agreements, and overall contractual agreements remain current.
  • Align workflow distribution to capacity management.
  • Actively engage with TTS business, Coverage and other functions to provide strategic direction from an Trade Client Operations perspective; prioritizing technology innovation for TTS Operations, maintaining a strong focus on the delivery of high quality customer services through TTS CO processes and platforms that are reflected in high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Take a leadership role in exploring and developing key themes within TTS Client Operations such as re-engineering through LEAN, optimization, centralization, RPA, straight-through-processing and outsourcing, leveraging organizational resources within and outside TTS Client Operations to drive and implement these initiatives
  • Maintain a strong control and compliance environment throughout the TTS Client Operations organization that can rapidly adapt to changes in the regulatory and compliance environment; proactively escalating addressing all issues timely and competently through the drafting, implementation, and tracking of relevant Corrective Action Plans (CAPs)
  • Maintain permanent controls readiness, an effective control and compliance environment in all departments
  • Lead transformation projects for the franchise and Go To Common strategy
  • Lead the Digital Strategy projects and initiatives with local, regional and global stakeholders
  • Drive Digital channels and capabilities adoption with external and internal clients
  • Partner with service teams to improve Voice of the Client indicators
  • Partner and work collaboratively with all business leaders and colleagues both regionally and globally.
  • Understand the primary issues, problems and opportunities and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Able to influence at all levels without formal reporting lines
  • Guarantee channels and mechanisms to maintain the relationship and official communications with the Business / user.
  • Advise in Operations & Technology and methodologies of process improvement
  • Manage the assigned project portfolios (Book of Work) including the administration of its budget and its result.
  • Plan and coordinate budgeting by establishing policies and processes for execution of expenditure on Technology Book of Work for all TTS Operations functions.
  • Comply with the Country Governance Policy and TTS CO roles and responsibilities
  • Ensure a robust control environment and MCA/ GRC rating for TTS Client Ops.
  • Communicate effectively and constructively at all levels.Qualifications:
    • 6-10 years of experience in a related senior level role with experience in trade / cash operations and management
    • Proven experience in creating and implementing processes that result in improved business performance
    • Effective verbal and written communication and analytical skills
    • Be a strong manager with significant experience in managing and understanding organization at a country or regional level -Superior people leadership/management skills
    • Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure and able to manage effectively in a matrix environment
    • Excellent communicator (written and oral) in English. Spanish skills preferred
    • Proven leader by clients and staff with the ability to define strategy and provide inspiration
    • Excellent prioritization, organization, coordination and time management skills
    • Customer oriented. Able to deal with internal clients in a positive manner and help deliver solutions that benefit the business
    • Strong influencing and negotiation skills. - Ability to explore alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that are supported and accepted by various parties
    • Proactive and dynamic with strategic mindset. Able to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively
    • Ability to work effectively in situations requiring analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills
    • Analytical skill and experience in process improvement. Good knowledge of process, productivity & must be knowledgeable in system
    • In-depth knowledge of Trade products (i.e., Trade Services, Trade Finance and TWCF) -and the operation activities aligned to delivering them as well as general understanding of TTS Technology
    • Ability to quickly understand local legal and regulatory requirements, and exposure to regional/global regulatory requirements, and a strong aptitude to design process and people to comply with them
    • Experience in control, project management, risk management and re-engineeringEducation:
