We have an extraordinary talent base and invite you to consider joining ICMA-RC's Client Experience Operations Team.The Retention & Outreach Consultant actively and reactively communicates with ICMA-RC participants, through inbound and outbound calls, to increase loyalty and retain business. Success is measured by the number of participants and their assets retained.ICMA-RC receives inbound calls from separated from service participants expressing desire to move their assets to a competitor firm. These calls require immediate, knowledgeable, and skilled attention to inform the participant of the ICMA-RC benefits and options available and retain the business.Additionally, at-risk participants desire and need a point of contact within ICMA-RC to build continued loyalty and to protect against competitive overtures. These participants can be retained when they feel a personal connection to the firm, which is often attributed to a point of contact: someone who can help understand their needs and effectively introduce the right resources to deepen the participant's affinity.Essential functions for this role include:* Professionally react and work to dissuade inbound participant calls requesting asset roll outs. Educate these participants about the investment options available within their 457, 401, or IRA, the services available within their plan, and the fees associated with their account, as well as general information about saving for retirement.* Actively make outreach to time-sensitive deconversion plans informing separated from service participants of their choice to keep their assets at ICMA-RC.* Proactively contact separated from service participants to provide a personalized point of contact capable of broadly explaining the ICMA-RC products and services available, while also coordinating the referral and handoff to the appropriate internal resources.* Attend internal meetings and product trainings regarding ICMA-RC's adherence to IRS requirements and changes concerning all retirement plans.* May utilize pre-defined scripts, however based on the needs of the participant, will need to identify and educate on alternative product offerings to achieve department growth and retention objectives.* Achieve established metrics for the role; which may include, but not limited to, number of successful accounts retained, and number of daily outbound and inbound calls completed.* Follow practical application of all compliance, regulatory, and company policies and guidelines.* Other duties as assigned.If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:* 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in the financial services arena, in a sales or call center environment to include frequent (e.g., daily) communications with customers via telephone.* Strong sales acumen along with pragmatism, competitiveness, and an ability to not get demoralized by frequent rejection.* Strong oral communications, business writing and interpersonal skills* Ability to connect with participants via the phone and provide a quality customer service experience.* Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast paced, multi-functional, dynamic, client centric work environment.* Ability to analyze information to determine the issue then research, resolve, and communicate the outcome* Experienced and comfortable with cold calling, preferred* Familiarity with financial services brokerage products.Note: This is a full-time remote position.For your well-being, we offer a solid compensation and benefits package that features a competitive salary, a straight-forward incentive plan that rewards results, and a 401(k) Plan.
