The TRANSITIONS OPTICAL Accountant Analyst is responsible for a
number of key business areas. You will be working with Finance
professionals in the Transitions and Essilor organizations as well
as being part of multi-disciplinary teams within the Transitions
organization. In this position, you will perform a variety of
accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and
standards. You will provide advice within area of expertise to
functional or operational areas to help them develop revenue and
expense budgets and understand financial reports.
**Key Responsibilities of the Role**
+ Manage the accounting for manufacturing activity. Work with
the Operations Manager to understand the key drivers of
manufacturing costs, including yield, labor, volume and overhead
variances. Prepare monthly cost report, margin analysis, and other
KPI's. Calculate the cost and price for proposed new products.
+ Perform the annual Computed Value computation for finished
goods purchased from other Transitions entity. Calculate the US
Customs duty required.
+ Out-of-Group accounting and reporting - Account for, report
and analyze Out-of-Group profitability, including sales,
manufacturing/purchase cost, incentives/rebates and COOP marketing
funds paid to direct and indirect Out-of-Group customers.
+ Operating expenses - Account for operating expenses for North
America departments supporting Out-of-Group customers, including
marketing, selling, and distribution.
+ Budgets & Forecasts - Work with key stakeholders to analyze
actual results, prepare forecasts for the remainder of the year,
and prepare the annual Budget. Coordinate all activity so that
required timelines are met.
+ Prepare presentations to summarize results
+ Maintain a strong internal control environment; recommend
improvements as needed
+ Assist in other projects as they arise.
+ Cross-train in other areas to maximize department
**Key Requirements (Education and Experience)**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
+ CPA preferred
+ 3-5 years of experience in the Accounting/Finance department
of a multinational company
+ Must be analytical, self-motivated, customer-focused, and have
good time management skills
+ Strong interpersonal skills and team oriented
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
+ Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced team
+ Ability to contribute to the organization's overall business
+ Candidate must work well in a dynamic environment, work
independently, meet deadlines and have excellent organizational
