Job Description:

Overview: This position is responsible for receiving, processing, and professionally resolving issues with MTO and Specials quotes and orders. CSPS will act as the Leviton liaison regarding these products having direct contact with all levels of Distributors staff, Rep Firms, and end-users. This position works under minimum supervision. Responsibilities: Assist with order entry and shipping for orders containing MTO & Special items. (expedite orders, tracking issues, resolve complex customer challenges making decisions on their own to resolve customer issues with one call).Assists regular CSRs with the completion of Quotes for MTOs and Specials which cannot be handled through standard configurators. Complete quotes for extremely complicated MTOs and Specials that cannot be handled by regular level CSR.Works directly with customer to determine proper configuration of product to be used for a particular application.Communicates effectively and professionally using phone and electronic communications (email/fax) with internal and external customers.Compile special reports using data from MTO and Special logs in Excel Spreadsheets and Word Documents.Participate in interdepartmental (ex. MTO & Specials) team meetings, providing input from the customer service perspective and report daily status to CS Lead and Supervisor.Collects information on problems with Levitons products and service, reports issues to supervisor with emphasis on solutions. Qualifications: Education & ExperienceHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED), with some college preferred.Minimum 2 years customer service experience Related experience and/or training in fiber optics, data communications connectivity products within the telecommunications or datacom industry is preferred.Skills & AbilitiesMust have: Grasp and understanding of technical concepts. Excellent customer service skills.Sense of urgency. Ability to communicate effectively using phone, fax and email with internal and external customers. Attention to detail and ability to handle mathematical calculations surrounding pricing and billing (i.e. discounts, interest, commissions, etc.)Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to work in a team environment. Must be proficient in: Excel and Word.Presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, governmental sources, and the general public.Methodical and independent problem solving, focusing on detailed information, data and metrics.
