Job Description:
TSE Industries is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Buyer
for our Engineered Polymer Division (EPD) to join our dynamic team.
This role involves strategic procurement of thermoset polymers and
millable urethanes, pivotal for our specialty in chemical
production and mold making. The ideal candidate will handle buying
strategies that align with our mission to deliver custom polymer
solutions. This role requires a keen eye for market trends,
supplier management, and cost-effective purchasing strategies,
ensuring a seamless supply chain and inventory management. Plan and
execute procurement strategies for polymers and related materials.
Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and terms.
Collaborate with the production team to forecast demand and ensure
availability of necessary materials without overstocking. Conduct
market analysis to understand industry trends and leverage insights
for better sourcing. Manage supplier performance, ensuring
compliance with company standards and delivery schedules. Identify
cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices in
procurement. Maintain comprehensive records of purchases, pricing,
and other important data. Work closely with the Quality Assurance
and Production departments to ensure the quality of purchased
materials meets TSE Industries standards. Strong negotiation and
communication skills. Proficient in supply chain management
software and tools. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking
capabilities. Knowledge of the plastics industry, especially
regarding thermoset polymers and millable urethanes. Ability to
manage and analyze large datasets for procurement needs.
Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in the
polymer sector. Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
