Vaco is looking for an Instructional Designer for a short-term contract. BASIC FUNCTIONThis position creates learning experiences that embody the best of adult learning strategies, instructional design and projec management.The incumbent will complete complex, high-profile design projects and lead instructional design initiatives through application of best practices in self-paced and instructor-led learning. Incumbent will conduct deep dive analysis to understand client needs and wants, and fit solutions into existing infrastructure and surrounding landscape.Incumbent will serve as departmental mentor for instructional design tasks and curriculum development opportunities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Create learning experiences that demonstrate sound adult learning strategies, produce desired learning outcomes, and develop targeted skills and behaviors among learners.
  • Design end-to-end online and face-to-face learning solutions that incorporate best practices in adult learning theory
    • Establish and communication education requirements and learner-friendly elements for company products and solutions
      • Serve as project manager for medium to large scale instructional design efforts
        • Collaborate with key project stakeholders to deliver optimal learning solutions
          • Work with stakeholders and SMEs to understand, define, and capture their training requirements and propose appropriate learning strategies that successfully address the needs of the target audience and involve suitable training delivery modalities
            • Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert in learning experience design
              • Consult with senior business leaders, Organizational Development, and Human Resources Business Partners to assess learning needs
                • Research and develop learning content that is appropriate to the business needs and aligned to our overall company strategies
                  • Perform peer reviews of training content and provide constructive feedback to Learning Architects with recommendations for improvement
                    • Onboard, train and mentor new Learning Architects
                      • Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions for new classes - provided by Dice
