Job Description Overview\n AdventHealth Medica Group and AdventHealth for Children are seeking a dynamic, fellowship-trained pediatric interventional cardiologist to join our multi-disciplinary pediatric and adult congenital cardiology team. The cardiologist would work in an exciting and thriving program with the full AdventHealth healthcare system support (50 hospitals across nine states including 30 in Florida). The physician would have the benefit of cross coverage for call and work with a comprehensive team including surgeons, cardiologists, coordinators, dieticians, pharmacists, therapists and social workers. \n \n Access to dedicated pediatric cardiac catheterization Laboratory with state-of-the-art equipment within our tertiary Childrens Hospital \n Team of 12 cardiologists including general, advanced imaging, electrophysiology, interventional, Advanced Heart Failure and ACHD \n Dedicated cardiac Cath lab coordinator (APP). \n Pediatric Cardiac ICU with full ECMO support availability \n Active pediatric Liver and Kidney transplant program \n AdventHealth has a hospital-based organ procurement organization which is a top performing OPO in the United States \n Pediatric Residency on site and access to bench and clinical research \n \n AdventHealth for Children is located just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community. \n Requirements of the position include: \n \n Middle to Advanced level cardiac interventionalist with capability of performing complex diagnostic and interventional procedures that encompass all types of stenting, device closure of all types of defects \n Expertise in neonatal interventions including hybrid procedures, PDA and atrial septal stenting \n Expertise in ACHD cardiac catheterization and interventions \n Experience of being involved in clinical trials is preferred but not essential \n Fellowship training in Pediatric Interventional Cardiology \n BE/BC is required in Pediatric Cardiology with a certificate of interventional training \n Shared cardiac catheterization and general pediatric cardiology call \n \nPractice Description\n This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine. \nHospital Description\n Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 peds ICU beds with a dedicated peds CICU, a 102 bed Level 4 NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program, the region’s only BMT and solid organ transplants including kidney and liver, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017. Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center totals approximately 24,000 births and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics. These 30 hospitals refer patients for tertiary and quaternary services to our main location near downtown Orlando.
