The Senior Clinical Program Nurse for Occupational and Public
Health is responsible for the development and administration of
efficient and professional operations of public and occupational
health services in accordance with company policies, practices,
procedures and applicable regulations. Additionally, this position
collaborates with key Clinic Operations stakeholders to educate
others regarding regulatory or clinical guidelines. The Senior
Clinical Program Nurse for Occupational and Public Health works in
a less structured, self-directed environment providing clinical
guidance and serves as a resource for providers and clinical
staff.

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain knowledge of occupational health standards and state and
federal regulatory standards including, but not limited to, CDC,
OSHA, HIPAA, CMS, and state Boards of Nursing and Medical Boards.
Serve as a subject matter expert on new and existing regulatory
requirements
Maintain occupational health records and ensure accuracy of records
in applicable software systems
Maintain employee Immunization Program, Respirator Protection
Program, Bloodborne Pathogen Program, Flu Program, TB Surveillance
Program, Infectious Disease exposure contact tracing, COVID-19
contact tracing, Employee Injury and Incident Program, and
Occupational Health and Safety Training Requirements to include
education and training, tracking due dates, notifying employees and
supervisors of required actions and follow-up to ensure timely
compliance
Clinical responsibilities include assessment, screening, lab
collection, immunization, and other required services
Assess enterprise occupational and public health needs; develop,
implement and manage new programs based on identified needs
Coordinate and collect data to prepare reports for leadership to
assist in evaluating program effectiveness
Prepare presentations, verbal/written correspondences, policies,
procedures, and communications
Plan, guide and delegate activities for subject matter experts,
team members, clinical and support staff
Participate in the development and implementation of quality
improvement processes and monitor key indicators
Attend multidisciplinary team meetings to maintain collaborative
relationships and open communication
Perform all duties for internal and external customers in a timely
and responsible manner representing the company in a professional
manner
Consistently demonstrate excellent interpersonal and customer
service skills
Perform all other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Associate's degree in Nursing with
four or more years of experience
Registered Nurse with current unrestricted license to practice in
the applicable state of employment
Understanding of federal and state regulations applicable to
occupational and environmental health and safety
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power
Point and the ability to master other departmental specific
programs/applications
Independent problem identification/resolution and decision making
skills
Must be able to prioritize, plan and handle multiple tasks and
demands simultaneously
Work with minimal guidance; only seeking guidance on the most
complex tasks
Translate concepts into practice
Utilize conflict resolution, negotiation, collaboration and
interpersonal skills to resolve issues and increase customer
satisfaction
Coach, provide feedback and guide others -
Driver's license and access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or other
related field

Physical & Mental Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or
machinery
Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in
writing
Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem
solving

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually
based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors
including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work
experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with
